left abdominal pain and sometime shoulder??
im a 16 year old female and for the past week and a half i’ve been having pain on my left side right under my rib cage…occasionally i will feel pain by my shoulder right above my collar bone. it doesn’t hurt all the time just mostly when i sit up bend down and certain ways that i lay…the pain sometimes can be very intense but not always i was wondering if anyone knows what this might be. i have a doctors app.in about 20 days but i was wondering if i should got to the E.R

also i dont have gas anything like that i think it might be more serious the pain is unbarable and nothing works for it
oh yeah and i eat heathy not much fatty or junk food at all
i know i need my mother to take me we already discussed this
the pain is right under my left rib cage on the far side …
no in not fat i weight 110pounds
I used to have the same pain, still do once in a while.
The large intestine wraps around circling your belly. Yes, it goes underneath your ribs. I found that I was eating not enough fiber. The pain I was feeling was too much constipation and trapped air that I could push around beneath my ribs. You could feel and hear the bubbles move. I started eating more fiber and less breads and white foods. I could still eat bananas, which are white, but the white sugar is what was getting me most. Look at the labels on items for real sugar or the other sugars. I was told not to eat them. Try eating more fruits and veggies. I have to limit my dairy because it also give gas and constipation. Ice cream, sour cream, and cheese were my favorite foods. I eat yogurt now instead because it has enzimes that break down foods.
I just think you should try a diet that gives less gas or constipation. Maybe your stomach needs healing time.

Shoulder Brace and Improved posture
I am a Physiotherapist and a Pilates teacher. I certainly recommend the use of a posture shoulder brace in people with weak postural muscles in their upper back. This weakness is usually due to a persons habits rather than their skeletal posture.
Poor posture in the upper back will result in round shoulders and a poking chin posture. This is due to a weakness in the core abdominal muscles as well as the upper back and shoulder stabilizers. The muscles between the shoulder blades support the neck and the shoulders. The shoulders should sit in the same vertical line as the ear. In most people the shoulder line rests forward of the ear. This is the classic round shoulder posture.
This posture can cause shoulder pain, neck pain, upper back pain and headaches.
The use of a posture shoulder brace to support the position of the shoulders is of great value.
However the use of a posture shoulder brace can exacerbate the problem if the person wearing it fights the brace instead of working with it.
As a Physiotherapist I do recommend the use of a posture shoulder brace both for daily use in your work as well as for sport.
I am however a big advocate of exercising these muscle to improve posture instead of relying on a brace.
By wearing a shoulder brace and working with it, a person can improve their posture and strength and get to the point of not needing a posture shoulder brace.
The use of a brace in conjunction with proper advice and a Pilates training program is most likely to give the best outcome. I train pure Pilates as well as posture; this is the best program for people with pain from their posture and pain from their work.
My Pilates training program as well as a shoulder brace will give you good posture management skills and a better stronger posture.
