Can gas / constipation cause lower abdomen/stomach pain? OR APPENDICITIS?
Hi can gas / constipation cause lower abdomen/stomach pain? I haven’t pooped in a couple of days, and recently I haven’t really been eating fiber rich foods like I usually do.. However, I woke up, and I noticed that just around my belly button if I push on it, it hurts.. Probably about a 5/10.. I don’t know what it’s, it doesn’t hurt unless I put some pressure on it OR I suck in my stomach, then I feel it.
Could it be just gas, constipation or the fact that I sit for about 16 hours a day, so posture related causing the pain?? OR IS THIS APPENDICITIS? Please help, I’m scared it could be cancer too?
Also my stomach is making noises sometimes :S.

Sorry, I’m eighteen.
Assalaam alaikum. It would help to know your age.
The main symptom of appendicitis is belly (abdominal) pain. The pain can feel like indigestion or like you need to have a bowel movement or pass gas. Many people feel the first pain near the belly button. Then it moves to the lower right side of the belly. But the pain can be in different parts of your belly or even on your side. The pain may get worse if you move, walk, or cough. You may also have a fever or feel sick to your stomach.
Many people who have had appendicitis say the pain is hard to describe. It may not feel like any pain you have had before. It may not even be a very bad pain, but you may feel like something is wrong. If you have moderate belly pain that does not go away after 4 hours, call your doctor. If you have severe belly pain, call your doctor right away.
You may have appendicitis if:
You have pain in your belly. The pain may begin around your belly button.
The pain in your belly gets stronger and moves below your belly button on your right side (the lower right quadrant). This is the most common place to feel pain when you have appendicitis.
The pain does not go away and gets worse when you move, walk, or cough.
You have pain in any part of your belly or on your side.
You feel nauseated or throw up a few times. You also may not feel like eating.
You have constipation, back pain, a slight fever, or a swollen abdomen.
Some people do not have the symptoms listed above. Older people, children younger than 2 years, and pregnant women may not have pain in the lower right part of the belly. Other people feel pain in the side because their appendix is in a different position than normal.
There are also many conditions with symptoms similar to appendicitis. But because appendicitis can become serious in a short amount of time, call your doctor right away if you have any of the symptoms listed above. Treatment is much easier if the appendix has not ruptured. In most people, the appendix does not rupture until they have felt sick for at least 24 hours.

Stomach Pain for 2 months off and on?
A friend of mine has been getting stomach pains that she describes can sometimes make her cry. She doesn’t have vomiting or diarrhea. Happens about 3 times a day. Can last from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. The pain was described to me as being punched in the stomach repeatedly, or someone putting a cinder block on her stomach area. Can not take deep breaths while in pain. Claims its worse than menstrual cramps. Thanks for the help to all.
Where is the pain, upper or lower abdomen? If it’s in the upper abdomen it could be a symptom of an ulcer. Does it get worse after eating? If yes this also points to an ulcer or maybe Gallstones. If it’s the lower abdomen it could be the result of a problem in the intestinal tract, ovarian cysts, or even Endometriosis. There are many things that abdominal pain can be caused by so she should really consult a physician.
If the pain is severe, she should seek medical attention immediately.Tags: &, article, back, backup, breath, chest, deep, deep breath, lang, mage, Most Popular, pain, source, source article, stomach, stomach pain, stomach pain deep breath
EXTREMELY painful abdominal pain during sex etc.?
So for the past 3 year (i know thats bad) I have been having terrible pain in my abdomen during random times, Usually having sex triggers the pain and I can barely walk or take deep breaths because the pain in my lower abdominal is so painful! It does not hurt in missionary, but any other position AT ALL, will trigger the pain! and I hate it! sometimes the pain will go on for days! it also hurts really bad if I try to use the restroom because of the pressure (no 2)
could this be PID or Endometriosis? or what else? I have been planning a trip to the obgyn, but I have not gotten around to it. I went about a year ago and they told me I was fine. I knew I was not though. anyone ever experienced such?
I have experienced exactly what you are and i still do I have been diagnosed with Endometriosis and it can be very painfull at time esp when it is the time of the month. And if there is deep penetration. You should go and have it check by obgyn but for them to know for sure if it is endo you will have to go for a Lap which is a minor operation with minor incisions but afterwards when all is healed you should feel alot better and the pain is not nearly as bad until the endo returns. as i believe there is no cure yet for it.
I really think you should try have it sorted out.
Hope that helps.Tags: abdominal pain, answers, backup, breath, deep, deep breath, ezine, lang, lower, mage, Most Popular, pain, source, tags
