Severe upper abdominal pain that went away after vomitting?
Last night I woke up with severe pain in my upper adbomen, right in the center of my chest that radiated to the sides. It hurt something awful for about 10-15 minutes then I got nauseas, vomitted before I could make it to the bathroom and the pain instantly faded. Any ideas? I do not currently suffer from anything that I know of..
Sounds like a gallbladder issue or ulcers….
Gallstones – Symptoms
The most common symptom of gallstones is pain in the stomach area or in the upper right part of the belly, under the ribs.
The pain may:
* Develop suddenly in the center of the upper belly (epigastric area) and spread to the right upper back or shoulder blade area. It is usually hard to get comfortable; moving around does not make the pain go away.
* Prevent you from taking normal or deep breaths.
* Last 15 minutes to 24 hours. Continuous pain for 1 to 5 hours is common.
* Begin at night and be severe enough to wake you.
* Occur after meals.
**********************
Common ulcer symptoms include:
* A burning, aching pain-or a pain that feels like hunger-between the navel and the breastbone. The pain sometimes extends to the back.
* Belly pain that can last from a few minutes to a few hours and usually goes away for a while after taking an antacid or acid reducer.
* Weeks of pain that comes and goes and may alternate with pain-free periods.
* Loss of appetite and weight loss.
* Bloating or nausea after eating.
Less common but more serious symptoms of ulcers include:
* Vomiting after meals.
* Vomiting blood and/or material that looks like coffee grounds.
* Black stools that look like tar, or stools that contain dark red blood.
Sharp pain in my stomach and sore back and ribs, what could this be?
I have an incredibly sharp pain in my stomach like I’ve been punched repeatedly, but it’s so sore I can barely stand. The pain has also spread to my ribs and my back, which is very uncomfortable.
This isn’t the first time it’s done this but it isn’t frequent.
Have you any ideas what could be causing this?
PS: Last year I had a kidney infection which made my back really sore, do you think it could be connected?
Thanks in advance =]

Food allergy affects almost everyone at some point in his or her lives. Usually, people that feels something unpleasant right after they ate tends to think that they are experiencing allergic reactions to the food. Actually, only one percent of adults and three percent of children are clinically proven to have food allergies.
The major difference of food allergy and the way a person reacts to an unusual feeling after meals is because he or she mistakes food intolerance from food allergy. Food intolerance is a widespread condition that occurs in various diseases, which is usually triggered by several mechanisms in the body. On the other hand, food allergy is an unusual response to food, which is triggered by a negative reaction in the immune system that is expressed by physical symptoms.
People who have allergic reactions to certain foods should be able to identify these sources in order to prevent them. While many of the symptoms of food allergy are mild with only a few physical symptoms, these reactions could become a life-threatening illness that could lead to death.
The common signs of food allergies include swelling of the tongue, lips, throat, face and other body parts, abdominal pains, vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, lightheadedness, hives, eczema, itching and tingling inside the mouth. The symptoms you will experience depend on the type of food sources you are allergic to.
In severe conditions known as anaphylaxis, the patient could experience life-threatening symptoms such as rapid pulse, loss of consciousness; airway constrictions that lead to loss of breathe and shock with a significant drop in the blood pressure levels. When any of these symptoms occur, it is vital to seek medical attention immediately.
Treatment Of Food Allergies
Just like other kinds of allergies, the most effective way to avoid the occurrence of allergic reactions from food is to avoid the sources of your allergies. However, not everyone can avoid allergens since some foods contain hidden ingredients that you may not be aware of, especially if you regularly eat in restaurants and food chains.
When food allergy strikes, you will be given adrenaline shots (epinephrine) from the emergency room. You will also keep on hand for emergencies when no professional help is available. These epinephrine shots are critical for patents diagnosed with anaphylaxis.
For mild cases of food allergy, doctors usually prescribe antihistamines for relieving discomfort and controlling the allergic reactions. Creams and lotions are also used to reduce inflammation and relieve skin irritations.
If you don’t prefer to take medicines for the rest of your life, you can simply detect all food sources that you cause these allergies and avoid them for good. You can always choose to take medications when the symptoms persist.

what is wrong with me?
Every couple of days as soon as i wake up in the morning i have bad abdominal pain and immediately need to use the restroom, then iam okay for a few minutes and the urge comes back again. Not diaherra just a little soft. But the pain stays usually all day and every 10-15minutes im in the bathroom again. I have tried pepto, tums, rolaids and immodium, i have tried lying down, having a bland small meal and nothing is working, any ideas on what this problem is would be most helpful
I am not tiring to be smart when I say this but you should go to the doctor.
Why do I feel a sharp pain on my torso?
This usually occurs when I have a full stomach or I’m bloated. The pain is localized. It occurs around where the rib cage and belly meet, a little right from the esophagus. If I press down on it I can feel it and it subsides. Sometimes a tingly sensation curves over to my back. This is near the middle of the torso, and I know it is not a side stich.
I have already gone to the doctor but they thought it was muscular. They told me to wait a couple of weeks, and see if it stays. I’m thinking of going back but before I would like to know if anyone has any idea what it can be.
When I went, they checked for gallstones with ultrasound. I hope that it’s not because I hear they are painful.
It sure sounds like gas, like your stuffing yourself at meals. Try eating less, enough to be comfortable, when you feel like going for “seconds” don’t, and after eating, take a little walk around the block.
